ondake

The symbol of Fukue Island, "ondake," is a streamlined volcano covered entirely with grass. It is a mountain with an unusual shape called Cindercon, which was formed by overlapping a mortar volcano in the second eruption 50,000 years ago on a shield volcano created by the eruption 3 million years ago. From the crater of ondake, volcanic tears called "Pele's tears", which are rare in Japan, are produced.
