Statue of the goddess of worship
At the top of the road from the parking lot of Osezaki Cliff to Mt. Ose, there is a statue of the goddess of worship and a bell. This statue of the goddess of worship was built to requiescat the war dead and the victims of the war, including soldiers who went to the Southern Front during the Pacific War and died in the war. This comes from the fact that Osezaki was the last Japanese land to be seen by the soldiers who went to the Pacific War.
The sound of the bell sinks the souls of those who never return due to the war, and echoes to the East China Sea as a prayer for eternal peace.
In addition, this statue of the goddess of requiem is the work of Seibo Kitamura, a sculptor from Nagasaki Prefecture known for the Peace Memorial Statue in Peace Park in Nagasaki City, and is a statue with high artistic value.
